Hear hear. What my party always did was buy the books we used. Everyone had their PHP, there was a DMG and (a couple of different) MMs. But all the other nice 'expansion' books (Complete *, Races of *), one bought. The others just downloaded a PDF, so you can look through it at home. Basically...

When you are being grabbed, do you get restrictions or then not being allowed to move? - Could you use one of those teleport (racial) abilities to go away? - Can you still cast spells, or say, start dicing up the person grabbing you? - Any penalties? - Penalties for the grabber on, say attacks...

Could someone explain the numbers behind the basic stats for me? In the Orest Naerumar stat block it lists: It seems to be (1/2) lvl + ability modifier, instead of just the ability modifier I'm used to seeing in 3e. I'm speculating it's the modifier for ability checks (is that even in 4e?).

I would assume the latter Hellzon, since the ability used is :ranged: Eyestalks, a ranged attack. That is has two targets doesn't make it 2 attacks imo.

That would than allow the fighter to use cleave to just add the secondary damage on the target that marked him, doing the bulk on a target of his choice. Something else than just using it for minion killing :).
