What I really don't want to see are "spell-like" abilities. I hated reading through 20 some spells just to find out most of them are useless in combat.
I don't want to have to go to another book in order to run the monster. Everything I need to run the monster should be right there in the...
Picking a feat for 4e requires one to look through a crazy number of possible choices.
The total number of feats doesn't bother me. But the number of possible choices for a given character are way too many.
My solution, reduce the number of generic feats that apply to all characters and...
My personal experience hasn't shown that the number of actions available per turn really slows the game down that much. Rather, it is the number of choices available to a player on his turn. This is especially true when you have a player or two that is susceptible to analysis paralysis or...
Partially, I'd definitely like less powers at higher levels more in line with what you have at perhaps mid to high heroic tier but I did truly mean no daily powers at all.
Just at-will powers with generally only a hit effect and encounter powers with a hit and miss effect.
Some of the guys...
I'd like to see less power slots at higher levels and elimination of daily powers.
The number of choices with the decision on when to use daily powers can really contribute to long turns when you have a couple players that are prone to AP.
In combination with the eliminate of daily powers...
Add me to the list of people that were confused by this change. Well shoot, I was thinking by AC was going to go up after the bug was corrected just to find out there wasn't a bug and I was getting the bonus all the time.
I don't have the book in front of me but as I recall that is a faulty assumption. I believe it's a useful book for players and DMs. I was pretty impressed with it myself.
This is the one I would really love. Writing companions using the Monster builder works OK but it's tedious and the companion math and the monster math aren't quite the same so when I level them up I always need to make sure it didn't screw up the math.
It seems like between the character...
In case it helps with the discussion, the specific case that made me wonder how this works was a character attacking using a Mordant weapon with this power activated against a creature with poison immunity. "Power (At-Will • Acid, Poison): Free Action. All damage dealt by this weapon is acid...
I can't find the rule for what happens when an attack has two damage types but the enemy struck has immunity to one of those two types. Can someone provide that rule and let me know where it is please?
Thank
Does the property for Eladrin Boots stack with the property for an Eladrin Ring of Passage? Would two Eladrin Rings of Passage stack?
Eladrin Boots property: Add 2 to the maximum range of any teleport you make (other than that provided by these boots).
Eladrin Ring of Passage property: When...
How about this:
The evil diviner determines that the PCs have the artifact he desires. He makes a pact with a Succubus and engineers a fake encounter where a number of bad guys are attacking the helpless Succubus in human form. He hopes to either destroy the PCs outright or if that fails use...
As the customer this happened to, I would have been fine with either a yes or no answer and I wouldn't have asked him why had he chosen to not accept the Discover Card. Had he not accepted it and I asked, telling me that it costs him too much would have been an acceptable response.
However...
