I tend to agree. Sure the Tails game is very light on rules, and thus on first look appears to only be for kids. But I don't see how all that extra crunch in 5e is going to benefit a property like MLP: FiM. Honestly it would probably work best using Powered By the Apocalypse... -HM

First, I think the game should be for all people, even ones you perceive as "dumb". And I guess I would be one of them, because back in the 80s, I had difficulty with it. Because the game didn't do a good job of explaining to a 10 year old, who likes rules, exactly what to do if a player wants...

I caught about an hour of it and it was pretty amusing. I don't have the time to watch Critical Roll week after week, so this gave me that taste without having to sink in a lot of investment. -HM

Yes, I should've made it clearer that I meant nothing has come out to specifically meet the needs that DungeonScape was attempting to meet, i.e. digital tools to be used in conjunction with playing at a physical table (rather than a virtual tabletop). -HM

Well, DungeonScape is now dead. It became Playbook, and now this thing with Paizo. WotC still hasn't announced any digital tools. Probably taking their time after the DungeonScape fiasco. There's still room for something, since the DM's Guild doesn't fill the niche that DungeonScape would have...

Well I'm sure Trapdoor will go on about how it's not the same type of program as Herolab...how this is designed to be a game aid at the table, eliminating the need to pick up a rulebook. -HM
