    D&D (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook Reveal #3: "New Paladin"

I will def homebrew in my games that Paladin smite is 2014 but once per turn. I don't love all the Ba options competition with smite now. If you wanna misty step to that bad guy and give him a good bop, go ahead.

    D&D (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook Reveal #2: "New Fighter"

I'm just surprised they didn't say anything about it

    D&D (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook Reveal #2: "New Fighter"

The big thing was in the UA you could not use action surge for spells.

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Can't say I know. They didn't say. I could come up with some things that make sense but you'd have to ask the writers man. This isnt on me, im not saying i wrote it. They wrote it this way. Im just saying if you wanted to run it as the writers must have intended based on the text then thats how...

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Would I Pay 100$ for an extended book that was stellar. Yes, without a doubt. Would I run vecna like that? I'm not sure yet. Im leaning towards No. But I will probably make killing Vecna a failure unless the party does something that really seals the deal otherwise. Do I think that's how...

I don't think that's an accurate analogy at all

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Unfortunately we don't get to know the authors intent just what's written

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Im sure the author considered other options. Several books have if the players do X or if the players do Y. They could have been more vague, or a whole host of other things. The book goes out of its way to say the chime is the only way to win in more then one spot. For example, it does not say...

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Clearly some way otherwise it would have been mentioned in the book. The book states the only way to win is the chime. Therefore if he dies the ritual continues. I don't know how but if you drop him to zero it happens. There isn't any vagueness, it clearly says you MUST use the chime, and the...

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

IF the PCs kill vecna the ritual is not stopped. Thats the issue. The ritual will finish thus the party has failed. Potentially the ritual isn't even delayed his soul very well could finish the ritual sans a body. Either way the adventure is clear on a single win condition. As far as the map...

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

The E1 you looked at is for Vecnas Grasp, I'm talking about E1 and E2 in the cave of shattered reflection. As it stands now vecna could just walk into one of those rooms, because he can go through the doors as normal, and just chill in there forever because the players couldn't do anything about...
