I'm an English teacher originally from the U.S. living in working in South Korea for the past few years now. I'm a lifelong nerd and lover of fantastical worlds. I've played lots of video games, read a lot of books, and watched a lot of TV shows and movies based on heroic tales in fantasy worlds. However, what I've really come to love about D&D is how is encompasses the best escapist aspects of those other media while at the same time offering a really unique opportunity for roleplayers to explore aspects of themselves by putting strong emphasis on those things in the characters they create and play.

Apart from games, I'm also a huge music buff. Most of my music listening, conversation and writing is centered around the various branches of heavy metal, but I'm also a big fan of 80's/90's indie and alternative, as well as some types of folk music. I play in a few different bands, but none that are all that famous.

These days I'm also trying to travel as much as possible, and take a lot of pictures. Recently I've been to: Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Huangshan, Suzhou, up and down Vietnam, Bangkok and the western side of Thailand, Osaka, Nara and Kyoto in Japan, Taipei and various other parts of Taiwan, plus lots of interesting places here in Korea such as Busan, Gyeongju, lots of mountains, and Jeju Island.

Next year (2018) will probably be my last in Korea. After that I'm planning to go to grad school back in the West somewhere, hopefully with more D&D opportunities!
