Not D&D and some might object to the choice of clothing, but this is still one of my favorite covers. Maybe because it was my first starter set, but I like its dynamic and composition.
That remains to be seen. While itch.io might not have intended it, this nuclear option brought a lot more attention. Otherwise they would just have kept doing it, one tag at a time.

As far as I know, at first it mostly affected stuff like loli and rape. So it's less "I didn't speak out" and more "I said good riddance because stuff like that shouldn't be allowed to exist." Stuff that disgusting IS very hard to defend, especially loli which is treated as child...

In many cases, it's less about buffed and more about being turned into magic. The most prominent example would be 4th Edition. The way powers worked gave many people the impression that martials and casters worked to similar.
PF2 does a pretty good job of martial/caster balance in my opinion.
How was it a successor? It just used the name, but Dungeon Siege 3 was more of a successor to Dark Alliance 1 and 2 (and not to Dungeon Siege 1 and 2).
