In many cases, it's less about buffed and more about being turned into magic. The most prominent example would be 4th Edition. The way powers worked gave many people the impression that martials and casters worked to similar. PF2 does a pretty good job of martial/caster balance in my opinion.

How was it a successor? It just used the name, but Dungeon Siege 3 was more of a successor to Dark Alliance 1 and 2 (and not to Dungeon Siege 1 and 2).

Looking at their "new and improved" UI, I'd prefer them not updating it at all. The filter could be somewhat more granular. I have more tolerance for people using AI art like they use stock art than products where the AI generated content IS the product, like battlemaps or modules with AI...

They killed the OGL. I'm still waiting for d20 modern and 3.5 CC. And unless I'm mistaken they never said that they didn't have the rights to deauthorize the OGL in the first place, just that they weren't going to do so this time (similar to Disney and its streaming ToS).

I'd say that it's more telling of WotC that posting about their hiring leads to all this vitriol in these forums.
