Fortunately I was never shamed or bullied. Started playing the Summer of 1977 before 8th grade. In High School we sometimes played during lunch in the cafeteria. My Parents were real cool with it. They knew it was just a game.

Certainly the initial announcement could have been handled better but I'm satisfied after the clarification. If the reimbursement to the original backers is assured and out of JG hands as well as JG not receiving any profits then that's a good thing. I backed an Elric board game that seems doubtful it will ever see the light of day.

FWIW I side with you. I've always understood that phrase to mean "individuals leaving a bad situation while they still can" and not an insult to said individuals.
