D&D 5E New D&D Hardcover To Be Announced On The 23rd (Tomorrow)?

All I wants is monsters.......so whatever it is hopefully 50% monsters. With at least 10 legendary monsters if i am being demanding. I can re skin them to whatever i want, so I don't care about setting, but give me more monsters please.

Blog (A5E) Level Up: Exploration Challenges, Boons, & Monster Signs

Great stuff. Glad to see random encounters be more than just 2d8 orcs attack. Hopefully this section is 700 pages of dense content.

Call of Cthulhu Remains #2 TTRPG On Roll20

You never saw how 14 year old me and my friends played CoC...... Tommygun filled with magic bullets, dual weilding sawed off 8 gauge shotguns*, and so much dynamite.

Planning a Dessert for RPG Couples

Well thats disappointing. I was expecting how to build a hexcrawl in an arid area for a two person D&D game. I need to learn how to spell.

Is The One Ring 2E Kickstarter going to break the records?

I am not a LoTR fan at all but I am a sucker for starter sets and that one looks fly as hell. Plus free league puts out great stuff.

Blog (A5E) Level Up: Works In Progress

Looking Good! I like the "shinny math dice". Are you rolling out a starter module or a low cost quickstart PDF? I have long thought that a dynamic starter modules can help launch a system. I wasnt a big 5e fan at first, but the sandboxish nature of Lost Mines made me want to keep playing and...

B&G's Silver Edition of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden - A Review

I don't hate the idea of expensive components, playing aids, expanded content, and luxury add ons for adventures. But when the adventure is just a so so middle of the road nothing special effort like RotFM then its kind of silly. Its like speding a lot of money to add offroad accessories to...

Test The Awfully Cheerful Character Builder

Maybe a wat to pick your genre, before you pick your role? Lots of scrolling to get through the options.

Review Roundup: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything

The artificer class was a reprint, multiple of the subclasses were reprits (off the top of my head, oath of glory, blade singer, spore druid), patron rules (as you mentioned), side kick rules, spells from SCAG, probably more. So lots of the crunch. I get that some people dont have those books...

Review Roundup: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything

2e as an edition ran for 11 years, was a well thought out buisness decision to try and make a more user friendly version of the game that was still compatible with 1e, and produced some of the fan favorite content that players still ask for. How was it largely a failure?

Review Roundup: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything

I don't really trust "professional" reviews of rpg products I am sceptical that they probably got a review copy and are trying to stay in the good graces of the companies that feeds them these books. Add in a lot have affiliate links to the products and its hard to know what is business and what...

    In Praise of Dice

I am firmly in fudging is bad. Passionately to a point its hard to type a comment that stays within bounds. So I will just say sure it can be scary to head into the unknown that randomness brings but these are games about adventure.
