Yeah after reading the rest of the conversation regarding this, i have to be in 100% agreement. Now that does not mean that D&D is a bad game, but in my personal preference its my absolute least fav game. And its a shame that so many other games are not even tried because people just get D&D...
If i use a 3rd edition monster as is in my Pathfinder encounter, whats the minimum tweek or consideration to take into account.
Should i consider it one CR less ? Or would i have to do a more extensive modifications ?
What game would work for a scenario in which the players play villagers besieged by supernatural events, like the movie The Village or Salem.
Preferably a narrative indie type game.
Game that would handle a Starship Bridge - i dont mean with tactical combat with ship minis, i mean rules that help give the feel of being on a bridge with the helmsman, tactical officer, captain etc. all doing their part.
Party’s Level.
The Core Books often refer to the party’s level. I can not find how to determine that. Is the party’s level total level of all the PCs or average level of all the PCs or something else.

And should i look at Changeling for non-human races such as Elves and such ?
Were trying to continue are D&D campaign - but use the storyteller system. After gameing for years first with AD&D and then d20 its dawned b us that the storyteller system is probably more appropriate for our style of play. So wer gona give it a try.
