I've played it in a few one-shots. Its been fun to play. We ran the first few encounters in the Kang Adventure. I really want to see an adventure specific to the X-Men and mutants. Kang is neat, but my favorite from Marvel is the X-Men.
Resurrecting this thread.
Just had a session this weekend. Made the following random encounter, combined with the Oozing Temple.
The party have just begun travel on the Darklake from Sloobludop to Gracklestugh. They left a narrow tunnel filled with rapids into a very large cavern filled with...
My party has Dawnbringer now. It's definitely a powerful weapon, but its a detriment too. Our group has a deep gnome and two drow. It hurts almost as much as it helps.
If they have it by the time of Sloopbludop, it could really help them survive the ritual and then become a beacon for the...
I like using advantage over static mods to rolls. Your list of daily set up looks good. I'm going to have the party leader also set up marching formations for each type of area (narrow, standard, and wide). I don't really need the navigation checks due to an underdark ranger in the party.

I'm glad you like them. I agree about the terrain. I'm thinking about changing the encounters to include both terrain and monster. The two of them together makes for a more memorable scene instead of just "a monster pops out at you"
My group should be lucky, on my random rolls I got a group of 6 drow traders on day 2. I added two quaggoths for pack mules/bodyguards. That will give the party 6 chain shirts, short swords and hand xbows if they take them, plus trade goods (which i put in the form of explorer packs) and 60...
Tangent, but I think I might make potions not consumable. Instead, the vial is magic and refills after a certain period of time (like a week or something)
No, the adventure gives different encounter tables based on location. They have a general one that covers the broad expanses of the underdark, including a chance for both terrain and creature encounters. And then have tables for specific areas, like settlements and unique areas of the...
