I've only been playing D&D for 17 months one time a week on Saturdays for 4 hours a session. I still havent gotten the hang of things yet because we switched from 3.5 to 4.0. Plus I take meds that affects my short term memory. So it's not as easy to catch on as it is for other new players. Also the people I play with with have been playing since 2nd edition. They have been very patient with me, and I truly appreciate it.
