Assuming that PCs start with 0 XP, there is no way to not be level 2 at the end of 4-1, and no way to level to 3 prior to the end of Death House, based on the 300xp/600xp awards at each "waypoint".
Why couldn't a PC walk through the Mists at the end of 4-1, then play Death House and then continue on with either the Hardcover or 4-2? Why avoid the mists and do Death House in Faerun? Missing the logic.
The levelling out I get (in theory)...there are ways around that too, I surmise.
Hey Kalani,
Can you find that quote from the Admins? Because that's not what I got from them.
What I got was that it is strongly suggested that players choose one "track" or another (DDAL or the Hardcover) due to XP issues as well as story continuity. I never saw anything explicitly...
It's clear that the PARENTS didn't forget about the kids. However, from the childrens' perspective, of course they forgot about them. Why else wouldn't they have come back for them. It's really, simply a matter of perspective. In this case, from a child's point of view.
I'd like, if possible, to be able to weave my players in and out between the hardcover and the AL mods. In the opinions of the Admins who might know better, is it possible to work out a progression to weave in and out between AL Season 4 Adventures and the hardcover on an ongoing basis, or is...
Okay, nobody's mentioned the Incubus encounter. How did you all deal with that? There is NO scaling for lower level parties (it's a CR4 beastie). The *average* damage for the kiss is 32 hp, with no hope of Death Saves if you have fewer than 32 hp. Was this just an editing oversight? I had...
I grabbed an .89 package of multi-colored pipe cleaners at the craft store, cut them into thirds, and made rings out of them.
Red is bloodied. Each player gets a color to signify their effect on the appropriate mini.
Aside from the stack of 'fuzzy leis' that obscures a mini sometimes, it...
Warpick weight: 6 lbs.
Light Shield weight: 6 lbs.
There is no discrete weight limit for a two-handed weapon that I can find. The heaviest listed is 12 lbs. A Heavy Shield is only 3 lbs. heavier.
I don't get the logic quoted above.
Right, we came up with the above option too... but if the PC chooses to be "helpless" then how long does the PC stay helpless? Until the beginning of it's next turn? The wizard didn't want to be helpless, as it was in danger.
And then, if not "grabbed" and "moved while grabbed" but dragged...
Hey all,
How would you adjudicate this:
Wizard is prone, still conscious and in harm's way. On the cleric's turn, he wants to pull the wizard out of harm's way. Wizard is willing.
The rules as written allow an unconscious PC to be grabbed as an object (minor action) and moved (move...
