Yes. In a way. Fans, I'm not so sure as they tend to stick with the edition they love. Some still play Basic as you surely know. However anyone who hears about D&D would still by the books that say D&D on the cover.
I apologize about my way of putting this. I don't think any game is "the best"...
Are we though? I'm taking about making 6E a more story forward ttrpg, not branding a different product with the same logo. Putting the D&D logo on a chess set would make it D&D Chess. Putting it on a ttrpg would make it a D&D ttrpg.
I feel like this "it wouldn't be D&D anymore" has come up in several "how would you make 6E" discussions and the like and my opinion on the matter differ somewhat. I would claim that it would be D&D as long as the place the D&D brand on the cover. D&D has never been the best ttrpg in the world...
If y'all wanna try something that has great usability, great layout, great design, and isn't Goodman Games, y'all should try The Merry Mushmen. Their adventure The Horrendous Hounds of Hendenburgh just won a Cairnie.
Unless I want to place the map at a different place, facing a different direction, at which point it becomes a nuisance. I feel writing adaptable adventures is a good thing so that I can use them as needed for my homebrew.
I wouldn't use the word guessing and I disagree that there are no...
Nothing overlaps, this much is true, but the argument was that they were evocatice/mood setting so overlapping sections might not be the reason for the map. As for cardinal directions they are of course placed in a way that makes sense to where you placed the map into your world. As the map has...
New scenario for OSR systems across the board. Uses exploration rules that allows ease of play while exploring a large dungeon. A minimum of wasted time and a maximum of fun.

Like others have said, Necrotic Gnomes adventures (hole in the oak, incandescent grottos) have a very good layout. Also the adventure that comes with the base rules for Mörk Borg is likewise good (funnily, since the rest of that book can be quite a struggle to read. Oh, and not to forget, Into...
Have not played it though I own the rules. It's something of an OSR-adjacent RPG, or maybe an old-school Dragonbane with the serial numbers filed off. Meaning, of course, that it's also something of a BRP game.
That RPG was actually acquired from Riotminds, a swedish publisher, and started of as a setting for a previous incarnation Drakar och Demoner (Dragonbane in english). So this means the setting is back where it started.
Edit: Alos, Riotminds released the RPG Ruin Masters that uses a lot of the...
