    Weirdest Feat You Know?

The strangest I've seen in a WotC book is Blessed By Tem-Et-Nu from Sandstorm (for 3.5). It's essentially a hippopotamus-themed feat, including the ability to command and rebuke hippos as an evil cleric commands undead, and the prerequisite "must have defeated a hippopotamus in single combat."

Designing a character by using lyrics from a song

I've often wanted to base a character for some form of supers or high-powered modern fantasy game (ideally Godlike) on Woody Guthrie's The Greatest Thing that Man has Ever Done:

New Campiagn - Need Build Ideas

I like the Scout. Make sure you look at the errata, though- the Scout should have Disable Device on the class skill list, which makes it a much better Rogue. And for God's sake, don't play a Dwarf Scout! If you want a fighty Scout, the Swift Hunter/Greater Manyshot build is IMO the way to go...

Literal reading vs common sense - which should take precedence?

IMC: Common sense applies when it is a situation that might reasonably occur in real life- i.e. mundane animals, low-level characters, no magic. For instance, the horse climbing a rope. However, high-level PCs like the Tarrasque-shifting Halfling are different. There every action is to some...

How were you first introduced to D&D?

When I was about 8, I had some friends who were 5 years older and first got me into gaming- I remember watching them play 2e 40K, playing through the Fighting Fantasy books they lent me, and being taken through an abortive campaign that (with hindsight) was d20 modern before it existed- I...

So I've hit the damage roadblock on an Archer

You can't take a full attack if you move- so Skirmish and full-round actions don't mix. The way to boost your damage is Greater Manyshot, which lets you make several ranged attacks as a standard action and apply precision-based damage (ie Skirmish) to each. Admittedly, it only works within 30...

    Slayer of Domiel (type) Build?

Note:I'm not sure about the last attack bit, but it seems like it can be.

    Slayer of Domiel (type) Build?

About the Death Touch: It doesn't deal damage. If you beat the HP total, the thing dies, if you don't, nothing happens. That's the catch. Its advantages over slashing with a sword: At high levels, it can kill things that a melee attack wouldn't- unless your Slayer is doing 10d6 with melee...

    Gaining 3rd domian?

Contemplative PrC (Complete Divine) can be entered after 10 levels of Cleric and provides a bonus domain chosen from your deity's list at 1st level and again at 6th. Apart from the high level, the requirements are very easy- and the class has full spellcasting.

Losing Class Features with Alignment Change

Up to the DM. I'd do it ability by ability, considering background- anything which seems like a skill of the PC is kept, anything which seems to be granted by a god (or an external agency) is out unless that agency is OK with the switch. In general, I'd keep (Ex) stuff, lose (Su). (Sp) goes...

Spoiler Alert! : About the pre-final battle of Red Hand of Doom

So that works then. Either a Dispel out of the shaft or a Silenced Dispel (easily within reach at this level) should allow the casters to prove their worth. Also, if you have a RBDM, it means you can stop miming!

    Brilliant Energy and Non-Lethal Damage...

RAW, yes- there's nothing in the description that says it doesn't, and damage type stays the same.

Spoiler Alert! : About the pre-final battle of Red Hand of Doom

Could Dispel Magic take down the silence effect? After all, while Unhallow is instantaneous, the tied spell effect "lasts for one year...regardless of its normal duration". I think that means it has a duration of 1 year, so can be dispelled. The battle is still taking place in an Unhallowed...

    Bonus feat granting classes

Everyone's forgotten Scout- although they have to pick from a list. However, the list includes a lot of archery feats and the Spring Attack tree.

    Sneak Attack and Touch Spells

Cheers. So a spell is an attack, and you can sneak attack with it- and the SA damage is like the spell's. But if you deliver a touch spell with an unarmed strike- or even an armed attack if you're a Rogue/Duskblade- the sneak attack is applied to the attack rather than the spell. Makes sense now.
