at least its still basically on topic. there were 20 or so pages where people just talked about suicidal barbarian gnolls, that added absolutely nothing.

So every dex character is now a mongol archer at their prime? And lets not forget that hit ratio to kill in military engagements (or any kind of fight, really) in the last 50 years is still embarrassingly low in combat situations. Only if the moving target is heading straight towards you, or...

A single point in extra AC will give you armor 20 with a heavy armor or a dex 20 + studded leather. So dex becomes an even better option. Which as the best attribute in the game it doesnt need.

This is poorly thought out. If it gives even 1 point of extra AC if you arent wearing heavy armor, then Dex becomes the obvious better choice by giving the same amount of protection than a full plate + shield does. Also theres no reason why a shield would give a better boost when you arent...

Ranged weapons should be hell a inaccurate against moving targets. Especially if you aren't taking your time to aim. I'm talking below 10% of the shots made finding their target at mid distances even if trained. Also I'm sure you can make more stabs in a 6 second round that you can fire arrows...

Dex is too good. It does everything str does and more. Coupled with ranged superiority there's no reason to either go str or be melee.

Dex already gives AC, iniciative and réflex, attack to the best ranged weapons and any light weapon. and is keyed to a ton of great skills. If an archer wants to do damage he should get sharpshooter. It can survive not giving damage and still remain useful and desirable for any class.

So hand crossbows... Amirite Im implementing new rules at my table. No attribute to damage in attacks at distances longer than 15 feet (or the equivalent if we adjust by size). No more dex to damage unless using martial arts. Thoughts?
