I'll take quick stab at #1. From a outside point of view, you really want your paladin to be a strong fighter. He's big, he's tough, he knows how to use his weapons effectively. He's got those great saves. He's one of those guys that needs to be in the front lines bashing heads and kickings...

buying locally I usually prefer to buy minatures at a local hobby shop too. But, I can't find one that is anywhere near close. The nearest one to me that is decent is a two hour round trip. So to make the trip worthwhile, I'd have to spend alot of money on minatures and that just seems silly...

I've been hunting for some good sites to look at and buy minatures to use for my characters, and I can't find many. The only place I seem to be able to find any real minatures is from the reaper mini's site. I know that Wizards' was putting out a line of D&D minatures, but I can't seem to locate...
