Let me suggest starting the campaign close to Silvanesti, but only after the Dragonarmies have been turned away by Lorac using the Dragon Orb. Starting the campaign there would give the player characters access to a Dragon Orb (should they wrest it from Lorac) and Knowledge of Dragon Lances...
I'll be there. My first name is Jeremiah. I went to my first Gen Con last year and had a game scheduled at the same time as the Ennies. This year I'm free and I plan on dropping by to meet some of the people who are so gracious to post their campaign logs in the Story Hour form where I lurk.
Dr. Midnight,
After consulting the Monster Manual I don't see that your players have much of a chance. They are putting the cart before the horse in this situation. It would be best if they teleported away and hid as opposed to committing mass suicide. Dragons are at the high end of the CR...
Dr. Midnight,
Great story hour. I generally lurk but don't post, so thanks for taking the time out to write up your campaign logs. I know that at one time you maintained a web page for The Knights of the Silver Quill, do you still do this? Also I was looking at Vek's character sheet and all...
Dr. Midnight,
If your Big Bad Villain is who I think it is he has many advantages over your party. The first and foremost is Blindsight, take advantage of it. The darkness ploy would work extremely well for this villain. When the party scries on him describe the scene as though it were...
The first five books are well worth the time expenditure and the second five while not as good as the first five are decent reads.
And yeah Blue football fields suck. What were they thinking?!?
*********Spoilers and Speculation below************
1.) The most memorable one on one combat for me is when Jon is forced to kill Qhorin Halfhand to infiltrate the Wildlings. It really shows the strength of his character and the will to do what must be done.
2.) The Battle of Kings...
Hey Nemmerle,
I just got a chance to catch back up on the Story Hour.
Kudos to you and your players. Several excellent installments.
Any chance that your group will be at Gen Con?
If so I'll see ya there.
Another villian of note from George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire is Petyr. He's better known as "little finger", and is one vile, conniving, power hungry and treacherous villian.
Good job Nemmerle. I can't wait for the next bit of story. What deity does that holy symbol represent? I'm not to familiar with the egyptian pantheon and I don't recognize it. Or does the party even know?
Nemmerle,
Excellent updates. What exactly are those monks up to, hmmn.
I get the feeling that Martin's quest has something to do with the monks of Anubis and the pit of bones. I mean because everbody knows that animating those skeletons up out of the ground then commanding them to properly...
I downloaded it of the Story Hour page. That made it much more convenient for me to read. Reading your story hour made me want to get off my keister and turn my campaign notes into a story hour. And that's just what I need another iron in the fire.
Maybe if I find some free time to put it on...
Nemmerle,
Great stuff. I'd like to say thanks for taking the time to make your campaign available for others to read. I DM a game but can never find the time to put it on the boards, so its greatly appreciated when someone like you takes that extra step.
And Kudos to your players, they're...
Try reading Nemmerle's "Out of the Frying Pan" which takes place in his Aquerra setting. Its really easy to find because its on the compiled story hour page.
