Variety is the spice? I like trying different systems, and we also want to develop a game, so trying some games we've never played before is a good idea. Sorry man, if I had to pay travel expenses then I couldn't afford either the chef or the GM. :)

The GM-for-hire thing worked great. Katerek was everything we were looking for in a GM. At one point in 2005, I think he was running 3 games a week for us. A fantastic GM who handled the whole thing as a professional. During the 2 and a half years that he worked for us, he ran 3-4 3.5 D&D games...

She doesn't cook every time, just a couple times a month. And to be honest, I have really boring taste in food, so I mostly just have her do fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some kind of dessert. It's not as fancy as it might seem.

Well, I'm once again looking for a new GM-for-hire in Lawrence, KS and the questions in the first post are relevant. Any suggestions for other websites, mailing lists, etc, for finding GM's looking for groups? I have a new post in Gamers seeking Gamers on the subject.

We actually found the first parts of KoTS to be pretty difficult. Perhaps that's because of terrible dice rolls, or a 3 first-time D&D players, but the combination resulted in an TPK at Irontooth with first level characters.

I preordered 2 gift sets on June 1st and they were just delayed with a new estimated arrival date of 6/10 - 6/13. I preordered 5 gift sets on April 1st, and they were just delayed with a new estimated arrival date of 6/18 - 6/26. I'm not pleased. Barnes and Noble just gained a new customer.

Player wants to play a monk variant where he gives up Flurry of Blows, Ki Strike, and Quivering palm for some fighter bonus feat progression. How many bonus feats would you allow? I'm thinking 3,6,9,12,15,18. Not enough? Too many?
