Can a Large creature weild a Tower shield?

Hmm, it doesn't say anything about this in the description of the tower shield, nor in the section on cover. In fact in the Cover section (pg 132 PHB) it gives an example where cover given by the same wall would be different for different sized creatures. Well, actually there is. You can't...

Can a Large creature weild a Tower shield?

I'm not exactly sure what the exact proportions would be because each size category has such big ranges. I mean, the difference between a 16ft tall and a 32ft tall creature is enormous (both are Huge). So I would say use your best guess in each situation. Your estimated sizes could be right...

Can a Large creature weild a Tower shield?

Sure, it would be easier for a Large creature to wield a medium Tower Shield, but they wouldn't be able to use it to its full benefit. The concept behind the Tower Shield is that a person can hide behind it for cover, not necesarily because it is interposed between two combatants. The...

Ideas for games with younger people

I think that the mimicing stories might be a good idea for her, especially the wizard school with a story like Harry Potter. Good adventure, strong evil character, but not much killing, and complicated enough so that she won't be bored. Thanks for the idea. :) She wants to play the actual...

Ideas for games with younger people

My 6 year old sister has recently became interested in looking through my game books with me. She will get interested in a picture and ask me about it, and I'll explain what the picture is of. She really seems to love this, especially when looking at magic items. I've explained the concepts...

Another thing to remember for the contest...

Something that people may want to make sure of: If you're using a small or unusual font, make sure that it's readable after a copy is made at default settings. Especially with small fonts, the copy may come out fuzzy and the jugdes will be reading the copy. Definately not fun to read.

WotC Seeking Your Setting Proposals (was "Big Wizard announcement")

Well, they are only giving themselves 8 business days to narrow it down to ten entries. Less if people send them right at the deadline. Even if it's only one page a setting, that's a lot of pages to thoughtfully consider. All the more reason to make them professional.

New Campaign Started...check out the PC's

Well, first of all I don't DM. I'm a player. When I play in a game, I know what sort of world I'm going to play in. I build a character that could live in that world. Other players also build the characters that they want to play the same way. I do not expect the DM to change the way things...

    Wild Shape Combat

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm fairly certain that you don't get a creature's extraordinary abilities when you wild shape. From what I've read, wild shape works like polymorph self (with the exceptions given in the wild share description). The polymorph self spell in the Player's...

New Campaign Started...check out the PC's

What makes it the DM's responsibility that the players don't make inappropriate decisions in character creation? In my experience, the DM creates a place for the players to play in, and it's a privilege to be able to play in the game. After all, the DM puts in tons of work to get a great game...
