I've got some animal based races:

For a fox race, I found an Endzeitgeist review on a 5e 3PP product containing one:

I tried the same thing, and found it challenging. Some levels don't even have appropriate spells for a cold based sorc.
You've got a few options:
1) Reflavor. This is done in two ways. The first is to take spells that normally don't have anything to do with elements and give them a cold...
Most of the time, I just flat out tell them after the relevant spoilers have passed.
Although I've had an occasional villain monologue crop up, as well.
Yesterday the announcement came that Robert Adduci is stepping down as the lead on AL. In his announcement, he said the following:
(Emphasis mine)
Looks like we'll be getting some brand new material soon!
I'm really happy that we no longer have Summon Monster I, Summon Monster II, Summon Monster III, etc...
I hated those spells. Bogged down the game, slowed battles, made caster classes even more needlessly OP. I'm glad they're a thing of the past.
It's from SCAG.
What about that large army of his? If I can see them, then I know he's around, can stay hidden while buffing up. Otherwise, I was preparing for the smaller challenge of "a caster at 1200' away who pelts you with Eldritch Blast." And in that smaller challenge, he wasn't...
A friend of mine asked me to post this build (note: the NK did not have the Alert feat when this build was made):
Zolta, female neutral Goblin Rogue (Assassin) 20.
AC 17 (Studded Leather +DEX)
HP 133
STR 8
DEX 14+2 (goblin) + 2 AsI = 20
CON 13+1 (goblin) = 14
INT 12
WIS 15 +1 (Observant) +2...
Ok, presuming he has typical magic items and not the items specifically used to counter my previous builds (such as everything he can possibly get to maximize AC and immunity to poison). In fact, Mr. Nameless King showed up yesterday on GitP with an altered build, didn't have the Alert feat, and...
Counterspell has a range of 60', though. So he can't use that without being close enough for other spells.
So really, it's just a guy at 1200' with Eldritch blast, and that's it.
I'd you have see invisibility, then you can see him, too. From there, it's just a matter if getting that range...
It's not that difficult. Many of this villains tactics require him to be close to you, so just wait for that, right? Or be invisible and sneak in close, since he won't cast his buffs until he knows he is in combat (that's how he gets around the sorc point limitations). You can fly right up to...
These two seem out of sync with one another. The first says JC is wrong by the rules, the second suggests a houserule to fix the problem of the rules. But if the second is true, the first can't also be true.
Checking the PHB for myself, I don't see where it says that there's a minimum for...
I'm curious what these tenets are that are so sacred as to deny players abilities granted by the book.
I've been playing and running D&D games for nearly 30 years, and I've never heard of such tenets. Can anyone site a source for where they come from?
