That duck, oh dear...Lunar Empire auxiliary mascot?
I know I read in an older edition of Monster Coliseum that Ducks were considered in the gladiator arena as light entertainment and comedy. Yet I think that stretches it?
There is nothing generic about the Drow, the Eladrin, the Shadar Kai, the Duergar, the Orc or even Deep Gnomes. I am so glad I held onto both Mordenkainens Tome of Foes and Volos Guide to Monsters...
..the statblocks in those 2 could not be more relevant than ever. ..
So,...Fizbans Treasury of Dragons still has merit considering the omission of the Gemstone dragons. Which contradicts some of the opinions I got when I watched the live feed about 2024e dragons and asked if Fizban's was incorporated as well as if the Greyhawk/Steel Dragon was incorporated.
Some...
Well, I think they will invest in FR, Eberron is getting a lil coverage. Other than that, more tie ins with MTG.
I would like to see more Greyhawk but I am actually learning a great deal more about the setting from Dm's Guild sources in terms of authenticity.
Oriental Adventures, hmm, okay...
Silly ppl, come out with 2024e, state changes are for the better, in the process unwittingly nerf one of the staple spells of D&D, lol.
Right now am just using 2024e as a bolt on 4 2014e. Think inspire of this, will rule that the Gith are still individuals/person and unless resistant/immune to...
So, basically, 2024e is telling you to create a load of Hold <type> spells in your spell slots as far as the MM is concerned. The same goes for Charm and Dominate spells I suspect. Jeebus, sounds more like the old Deluxe Runequest magic.
Outside of the Planesape: Torment c RPG, I dont recall the Gith as a playable race outside of 5e. Saying that I think I saw them in the old AD&D2e pdf of the boxed set of Planescape.
Yet here we are, they are playable un BG3 and the 2014e. So, Gith are definitely not in the same category as...
I liked IWD2, yet that was where half-dragons got confusing to me because from the old Council of Wyrms setting they were demi-human playable race, which became my 2nd playable after Elves/Drow.
In 5e the line is more muddied, so as the old playable demi-humans, had them go into the shadows...
Ironic, I more often that not played characters from the Sword of Caine/Sabbat in V:TM. With the two exceptions being one of the Children of Isaac or a member of the True Black Hand...
Saying that, I agree with the assessment of Clan Tremere. V5 has taken some effort to acclimatise to.
We started running ToEE before Xmas, one of the group members showed me their copy of Advanced Dark and Deep from BRW games, which is a tweaked AD&D1e.
That brought back the nostalgia of THAC0, and had a couple of runs. Though more familiar with 2e, a lot more straight forward than 5e...
