My brother wrote an itty-bitty program for point buy but it starts with base 10, is about a point more expensive, but gives you bonus points for having less than 10. Try it if you like.

Asking why I didn't get a magically animated sheild is like asking why didn't I stay at home instead of adventuring with the shield ring that I have and a bow, I don't have that particular shield.. I have that ring. I think I've gleaned my answer though. Thanks.
The prereq is "Damage reduction as a class feature or innate ability."
Do you have to have already gained this ability as a Barbarian at 11th level or can you take it at 1st since it IS a class feature?
THAT'S what I was questioning... Can you, for example, make a wand of Fireballs at caster level 1. A wand of 1d6 fireballs. I believe I have my answer. Thanks.
Are there rules stating what the minimum caster level of the spell to be placed on an item can be?
For example
A ring of flying.
Spell level 3
Use activated item x2000
Caster level X
Cost 6000 x X
Do you have to use the minimum caster level able to actually cast the spell? I belive this NOT...
I'm currently playing a rogue/wizard with his sights set on Arcane Trickster. My character has come up with a spell idea and I wanted to bounce it off the guru's for a mental play testing.
I compared it to Mage Armor.
Level 1
AC 4
Works against non-corporeals
1hr/lvl
No dex max for AC
No...
All execelent ideas. Thanks much. I guess I was still in the "I live in a tree" mentality.
I specially like the roaming researcher idea, consider it nabbed.
:)
Are there any good role-playing ideas out there about getting a druid out of his grove and into a campaign?
I've heard of the "vengence" idea, and the "someone real powerful making you do it idea".
I can't seem to come up with a reason a druid would go adventuring and I'd like to try out the class.
