I prefer 3.5, 4.0 feels to much like a cheap hack&slash knockoff. I like modern and future settings, I have a bunch of campaigns I've made in my head, but noone seems to appreciate them. I also write electronic music, and am learning 3d modeling. I get many of my ideas from music. so far my favorite non-3.x setting is planescape. I kinda wanna play as an abat-dolar, from what I've seen they're either wimpy 2nd ed monsters, or grossly overpowered. not that i've seen *any* official stats... and now i'm rambling.
