I need to build the Way of the Spider for an upcoming game. These will nominally be NPC bad guys, so I can do what I want, including Action-Oriented Monster builds, but I'd like to riff off a 'legitimate' build to begin with since there will be the full spectrum of CRs..
I'm thinking some combo...
Maybe it requires a representative of each of the tribes to go to the Eye of the All-Father and sacrifice themselves in a ritual which creates a single MasterBlood (or whatever you want to call it). Same stats as the "Emperor", but maybe more thematic?
Edit: Death ritual might not be thematic...
I had a blast with these Swarms in Salvage Operation, I happily moved them in three dimensions (up the walls / stairs / through the cargo grates etc). The PCs hated it. :D
Is there a follow-up to this video, would love to see where Ryan stands now, five years on. (Five years feels like fifty in the RPG hobby, and that's probably been true ever since D&D first launched).
I stayed at the Lake Geneva Playboy Hotel last year, aka the Grand Geneva Resort. It's a Marriott Vacation Residence or somesuch these days, but they have a little museum display to the heady times of Kuntzian Debauchery.
Let me see if I follow, the current rules are:
1) short rests allow you to burn HD to restore HP
2) long rests give you all your HP
3) long rests give you half your burned HD back
You are removing rule 2, and amending rule 3 to restore all (not half)?
Wall of Stone is a concentration spell. Can you bring it down by casting Dispel Magic on the wizard concentrating on it? I'd argue not, and don't see that this is any different.
