I've been playing around with fantasy writing and fantasy world creation for over 15 years now. I've played Basic D&D, D&D 3.5, and D&D 4e - I like Basic the best, and have been playing around with that stuff for quite a while now - probably over 5 years, I suppose. (I also am very interested in the old HeroQuest boardgame). I actually have been working on my own rpg game system for about 4 years, and have just about finished it - just need to type it up properly. It is a mix between Basic D&D and HeroQuest.

I've been seeking gamers for a play-by-post game for a while, without a whole lot of luck.

Of course, if anyone else is running a Basic D&D game online - let me know. I'm willing to jump in.
