    Designing Elric of Melnibone

Well, if you do go with Paladin, considering taking the Arcane Domain feat from Complete Divine...it would allow you to add on all the nifty extras like the White Lotus Feats onto the paladin's at-wills and fits the "arcane" flavor of The White Wolf quite well. On a different tack, you might...

    What's so special about Dragonlance?

I liked Dragonlance's take on alignment and the cosmology of good v. evil v. neutrality and how too much of anything was a bad idea. I mean, the first Cataclysm was caused because there was too much Good in the world al la Istar and the Kingpriest. The characters of Dragonlance were bound more...

    Arcane Power- Wizards Stretched Thin

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but Arcane Power already has some errata up here. The noteworthy changes (or re-changes) is that Grasping Shadow is back to 1d8 rather than 2d8, and that Illusory Wall has been turned back into a daily utility power instead of an encounter.

    Arcane Schools

Wow...just wow. Those White Lotus feats are just win for a Shielding Swordmage. Honestly, imagine a Hyrbrid Swordmage|Warlock armed with Eldritch Strike and Sword Burst and Riposte Mastery... By the way...did any one else think that the art for the article page looked suspiciously like two Jedi?

Footwork Lure + Polearm Momentum = At-Will Knock Prone?

It really depends on how you interpret when Polearm Gambit kicks in. The feat itself states that it triggers when an opponent entersan adjacent square, not when an opponent leaves as square. To be entering a new square, the opponent would have to have already, then, left a previous square. Even...

Footwork Lure + Polearm Momentum = At-Will Knock Prone?

The real power of this combo is when you combine it with a Glaive, HBO, Polearm Gambit, and Trickster's Blade Style. With this, you can slide your target 2 and knock it prone when they trigger Polearm Gambit! This can potentially make you ubersticky and incredibly annoying to enemies that decide...

Swordsage with Resounding Thunder and Thundering Weapon

I was wondering if you could add keywords from your magic weapon to your implement powers and, for what it's worth, Customer Service said this: Definitely something to keep in mind when choosing powers.

Swordsage with Resounding Thunder and Thundering Weapon

Meh...it wouldn't be too hard to house rule a thunder weapon that adds the thunder keyword in. It would hardly be overpowering, especially considering that there already officially exists a force weapon and (sigh) that ridiculous radiant weapon. Call it the Blade of Sonorous Thunder or Blade of...

    Swordmage Feats

In regards to PP's, it looks like Spellstorm would be a good choice. Its class features are quite nice, and the powers give SM an incredible amount of range and control over the battlefield. It even synergizes well with Stormsoul Genasi. Swordmages also seem like the type of defeneder to really...

    Multiclass and Replacing Powers

I'm not quite so sure about that. Both of those quoted lines are reference to powers swapped via the Power Swap Feats. However, my question is solely in regards to the Class Specific Feats which, in this case, the Power Swaps would not effect. Furthermore, on page 27 under powers, it states...

    Multiclass and Replacing Powers

Oh, this isn't in regards to the retraining you can do at every level. Rather, the question pertains to whether you can swap out the given power at levels 13, 17, 23, and 27 when you are allowed to replace one known encounter power with a new one.

    Multiclass and Replacing Powers

Umm...because the initial multiclass feat (in this case, Arcane Initiate) wouldn't let you do that without taking another feat as well, and as many posters on other threads have stated, it seems that by and large, an at-will power as an encounter is generally not a good deal. However, my...

    Multiclass and Replacing Powers

Multiclass feats like Pact Initiate give you an at-will power as an encounter power. For the most part, these powers usually aren't very good as encounter powers. However, at those levels that you can trade in an encounter power for new one, could you trade in the power you got from your...
