I have a similar problem in my current game. The dwarven cleric got a Fire Elemental using a scroll of Lesser planar ally... The elemental got badly hurt by "ice" minotaur figthers that were garding a white dragon's lair. Now the cleric wants to know if he can cure it or give it a cure potion.

After getting your answers, the cleric wants to know if he can give it a cure potion to bypass the fire damage :D

Hi, I'm currently playing a game where the cleric got a Large Fire Elemental by using a Lesser Planar Ally to help them getting rid of a white dragon. The elemental fell in a trap, getting 8d6 point of damage, the cleric wants to know if he can cure it?

It will be use in this kind of situation, as the ending monster of a underground (I don't want invisible flying range touch attacks! :P) adventure. I think I'll use it for 17th level, the cleric will then have Miracle.

When I get a critical hit on a spell like Melf's acid arrow, the damage is doubled 4d4 instead of 2d4. Now, since this spell has a duration of 1 rnd + 1 rnd/3 level, I want to know what will be the damage on the following rounds, 4d4 or 2d4 ?

gfunk, you are right about Astral Dreadnought, they can severe the silver cord.

IMHO, for gems and art objects, it should depends on the appraise check of the buyer and the charisma of the PC, but I usually give a maximum of 90% of the real value to give the buyer a margin to deal with. I also use the same +-10% cost when the PCs want to exchange copper/silver/etc... for...

This game is all but a normal party... There is only one player and his character is a neutral evil (currently chaotic evil because of a "Cyric" dagger of Wounding) half-elf fighter5/rogue4/ranger1/assassin2. He has enough magic items and gold to counter some of the restriction of the vampire...

What is the commonly accepted ECL for the Vampire template ? Any comments or suggestions about running a campaign with a Vampire PC are welcome.
