I like to game . . and prefer fantasy or modern to all other generas because I have to do less research to jump into the setting. I've played just about every incarnation of D&D and a host of other fossilized game-systems. Ultimately, it's about the people. . . great rules and a great campaigne will never compare to funny, involved player characters.
