I've been playing RPGs (Dungeons and Dragons specifically) since I was 9 years old, and so over my lifetime I've been playing longer than I haven't been. I love both running and playing, and I also enjoy painting miniatures.

Games of Choice
Dungeons and Dragons (any edition except 4th)
Pathfinder (as a player only, and only under a good GM. Running Pathfinder makes me stabby)
White Wolf anything (though VtM and Mage are greatly prefered. I definitely don't like running these).
Rifts (I could be persuaded to run this under an excellent group, and with LOTS of rules tweaks, but otherwise I prefer to play... And I play actual characters, not walking piles of Mega Damage)

I, and a few members of my current gaming group, would love to learn Shadowrun 5th Edition. I have several books, but I'm all about playing a game before I run it.

I'm all about the story of a game, and the characters part in it. I love coming up with interesting characters, and when it comes to D&D I can play anything (though I definitely have my preferences). I'm not into power gaming, or monty haul campaigns. However, I hate playing low level characters in 5th Edition. If there is one issue I have with that system, is the fact that it sometimes takes 3 or more levels to get the basic defining features of my character archetype. 2nd Edition D&D definitely got that part right.

Whatever

I LOVE world building. Rules be damned, if you have an interesting, believable, world, and a way for us players to interact with it and make it our own (And we actually advance and are part of a cool story)... I'm all in.

Feel free to message! I would love to chat! (Its getting me to shut up that's the trick... )
