    Torg Eternity Coming in 2016

I confess I haven't ever heard of Torg before, but now I'm wondering why not! It looks great.

INFECTED ZOMBIE RPG coming to Kickstarter August 16

Hey guys, It's an exciting and slighly terrifying moment...after some five years of developing the Immersion RPG system, I've now got the first setting ready for a Kickstarter! As you might have guessed, it's been a heck of a ride. A lot of lessons learnt! The setting is called Infected! and...

Things that don't translate to the table top

Ah right, I see what you mean. That's logical. I personally prefer to do things by logic and not work so much on hexes and maps unless I need to, so I like that :)

Things that don't translate to the table top

Well said Mike. I do very much like the concept of "Dynamic GMing." I've often referred to it in the same terms, so that's really cool that to hear you say that. You're right, it's both like a book and a video game. Also, I think whilst we can always adapt our games to make them do what any...

D&D 5E (2014) Can my table focus on making things fun instead of optimizing?

Too true. And Fiasco is SUCH a good game for that! :)

D&D 5E (2014) Can my table focus on making things fun instead of optimizing?

I like this idea, really. Because I feel the same way. Sure, some people like to min/max, and that's okay, but for me I find the real joy is in the story itself. Making it rich, entertaining and heart-pumping. Combats should feel unique, brutal and vivid each time. I think with an AC-based game...

Things that don't translate to the table top

Too true that, about railroading. To be honest I've moved so far away from that... BUT I have found it is useful for new players (just a bit of "guide and direct" rather than actual railroading though... I rarely know exactly how it's going to end once I get the ball in motion). That cone...

    Testing the waters.....

It's not a bad idea, but I guess you'd really need to get a lot of people interested in running something like that. If it was a forum format divided into different areas, then that could be pretty cool. :)

    D&D 5E (2014) Char OP Advice - Bard/Pally UA Dex Spearfighter

Sounds interesting. To be honest I'm not awesome at the OP aspect. I'm more into the character and who the person is, making them awesome that way then working out their powers. With that in mind, do you have some thoughts on who this character is? I've seen other pally/bards, though not often...

    What Does A Developer Do?

Sounds like heaps of fun, though a lot of work. Being a movie director is similar in that respect. Great freedom to create something awesome - but lots of responsibility to go along with it.

Things that don't translate to the table top

Yeah interesting point. I think they can translate... sometimes! Depends on how you want to do it. I have certainly played a few adventures back in my 2nd Ed AD&D days, when the DM had a trap mechanism with a certain mechanism to undo it, and if it didn't work quite right then a golem would come...
