Pathfinder 1E Avlis campaign setting released for Pathfinder RPG

There was a request to see part of the book as a sample. I can do that. One part I will partially reveal is the chapter on Races. The other part is the cover/Table of Contents. For the next 7 days or 100 downloads, whichever comes first, you can get the TOC here...

Oh yes, definitely. It's still in the process of being uploaded there. Right now it is only at paizo.com and yourgamesnow.com in PDF format.

Pathfinder 1E Avlis campaign setting released for Pathfinder RPG

The World of Avlis, a long-running campaign setting stretching back to the late 1970's, and live as a Neverwinter Nights persistent world since 2001, has been released as a hard cover sourcebook for the Pathfinder RPG. Currently, it can be found at Lulu.com: The World of Avlis by Josh Simon...

Seeking True20 publisher - Established world, art already done

Great advice, thanks folks. I will probably opt for lulu.com after hiring out an editing/layout crew.

Seeking True20 publisher - Established world, art already done

Oh yeah, I definitely intend to get to them directly. I'm just starting out here to sniff around. :) While I realize that the costs are high to create a hard cover book of this size, the art budget is often the largest portion of the cost, and I've already paid for that, so there's a...

Seeking True20 publisher - Established world, art already done

The World of Avlis is a well-established game with a large playerbase in the Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 communities. It also exists informally as a pen and paper campaign in a few households, currently, and has been in that media for almost 3 decades. The market of interested...

Looking for a free game system

After looking through the licenses more closely, that's exactly the conclusion I also came to just now. WoOT!! We can do d20 as long as we don't SAY it's d20, and as long as we clearly denote what content is open.

Looking for a free game system

Ok, great, thanks. If you have any more links to complicated systems that are free, as in beer, feel free to post.

Looking for a free game system

Good points. Let me ask you this... Can anyone make a computer game off of the d20 rules? I thought that d20 licenses only applied to pnp/tabletop? Moreover, could someone legally make a d20-based online game system that made a profit? I mean ultimately I would choose d20 for this...

Looking for a free game system

Can anyone here recommend a free game system that is simple to use and would translate well into a computer game? I would not be able to use d20 or any other proprietary system in a project I am putting together (unless I got a free license for it).

    Layout

Oh yeah I'm definitely looking to a publisher, but given the size of the book (300 pages, hard cover, black and white), and the fact that it's a campaign setting, I don't think it bodes well for the pickup. Granted, the setting already has a community of 1000+ fans, and I can get about 60 to...

    Seeking artist for sourcebook

I am working on brining an Avlis sourcebook (www.avlis.org) to publication, and it needs art. The sourcebook is large, 191,500 words. I am looking at: * $20 to $40 for each piece of black&white art, and I'm expecting at least 75 pieces for the book Artists, please email me at josh@avlis.org...

    Layout

Who does it? How much do they usually charge? How long does it take? (I am a writer with a completed manuscript that was picked up by Silven. Since they've gone under, I'm contemplating going it alone for the book, in case no publishers pick it up.)
