With warcaster and resilience will save you have a pretty good chance of maintaining concentration against most damage rolls, so it's not too bad.

You don't need to chain concentration spells. You cast hex on them to make their will saves lower. You cast bestow curse using a 5th level slot to avoid requiring concentration, then you give up hex concentration to cast hold person.

Agreed. I do like druids for their consistent power curve and eventual huge spike at level 20 (infinite mammoth anyone?). I also like cleric/wizard for the survivability of a heavy armor class with all the spells of a mage (and maybe cleric if your GM goes full RAW).

Would you be willing to go through that math in a little more detail? My brain is tired and I'm having a hard time identifying all the sources.

This has been my experience as well, although I would like to see a campaign that actually adheres to this philosophy.

With Eldritch blast and 2 levels in warlock I feel like you're doing at least as much as the crossbow EK. I do like the sorlock idea, I feel like it loses out later with the more limited spill list of the sorc, but that is good consistent damage. What does GWF stand for? Haste doesn't allow...

I know one round damage isn't the only measure of class power, but it is fun to measure, which classes do you think can beat it easily? I'd also be very interested hear about those other classes that can bring the pain.

I too am a huge fan of the druid, their power curve ramps up very quickly and smoothly, especially with the power spikes of polymorph at level 7. I'm still not totally convinced by necromancer over other types of Wizard, what makes you place it so highly on your list? Glad I'm not the only one...
