WotC Backs Down: Original OGL To Be Left Untouched; Whole 5E Rules Released as Creative Commons

Copyright and Trademarks are different, CC means we can use the names of things, but we can't market it as Dungeons and Dragons. I asked earlier but to get around that and allow people to know the content of your book is DnD you mark it 5E compatible with a small stamp on the cover possibly...

Stock are fickle they can change at the drop of a hat, and typically bad PR has made certain companies go bust (Blockbuster, Exxon, Ect) but I don't invest in stocks, I'll need a good accountant eventually for my own company but yeah I haven't ever invested in Stocks.

Beholders, Mind Flayers, and Strahd von Zarovich Released Into Creative Commons (Kinda)

So in theory your book would need the 5E stamp, like Dobbers, Sands of Doom and most stuff on the DMs guild/Drive-through RPGs and it would be acceptable?

I would try to have a setting akin to Monty Glue's setting of Alavast. But my one rule is there is a Above All one who can control even Phlogestum (did I spell that right? You know the stuff between Crystal Spheres) jus my head canon.

I see, though I wouldn't say it wasn't adaptation proof it seems close for the average player. But that is coming from a person with the DM Guide and Monster Manual only, like I said I only got into the game (due to that old 80s misunderstanding about DnD and its "under tones" if you take my...

It is time to forgive WOTC and get back onboard.

Aye, tha' be the muckle truth. I don't wish them harm, but they did us wrong and I hope they were being honest with this apology. Be safe on your travels into PF2 my friend, may the games be fun.

The could keep the Illithid, I hate those things so much I want to make sure a tarrasque finds every one of them. But monsters are great! But enough talk have at you! Classy joke my friend.

I wasn't sure if I would jump off, I had my hand on the throttle of our train ready to high ball out of the yard. Now I am shunting this train into a siding and padlocking the brakes tight. The fire will be kept burning in case we need to pull out faster than they can catch!

True they do deserve that tiny bit of a token of hand clapping, but you know the old saying "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" we weren't fooled. So shame on them, not on me (I also got into DnD after 4E so I wasn't burnt before, but I heard the stories. I supported those who...

Nope.exe, just means we get to play the game as we want. You best believe they broke a code, the code of "Do no harm, but take no crap!" We just had a lot of bull s#$t and only got it our way because we were following the bard's lesson "well I won't back down, no I won't back down!" You gotta...

Maybe, but for the moment lets just have a break. We got it on record they heard us on most of it Black and White Clear as a Crystal we have OGL 1.0. If they backed down once it shows they know we are more bite than bark!

Yes, very much so. When we clean them out at the Waffle House, they'll bring in more ham and eggs!
