Huh, Stan the Storm Master never seems underspelled or underpowered to me. Sorcerors are theme-based casters not kitchen sink casters. Sounds to me like the people that are seeing issues just want Wizards with Sorcery points.
I have and it wasn't very difficult. The individual would make borderline character concept characters and then push the buttons of other players. We would rotate meal makers/bringers (meal, drinks, desert, etc), and while we provided home cooked meals or quality meals from restaurants, they...
Considering how many homicides end with "stabbed 20+ times", the idea of a truly feral enemy like a gnoll or a troll simply turning away from a foe because they fell unconscious "because tactics" doesn't hold too much water in my glass.
Character at 0 HP is unconscious and dying. The party now has three minutes to complete a successful *skilled* healing check or use magic to stabilize the dying character at 0 HP or above. Every time the character takes damage after falling at 0 HP you take one minute away from this rescue...
In the defense of the article, I certainly felt the fighters = mages vibe from 4th edition. You may vehemently disagree with that notion, but the disagreement doesn't mean that I didn't feel that way when I was playing it. I was also a bit of an elitist jerk about it, to be honest. It was like...
The main difference I see that boosts Palladin in 5th vs. earlier editions is that they can declare smite *after* they confirm a successful to-hit roll. Every earlier edition had to declare smite before the to-hit roll and I had *never* landed a successful smite until 5th edition. I started in 1984.
But what about that falling damage, bro? If they do it right (good to-hit die roll) there will typically be a combined height with both participants of at least 10 feet.
Set up with the Rogue right and you can get 1d6 + double STR + weapon + sneak attack and the enemy is prone for the rest of...
As should be pretty obvious from the tone of my posts, I prefer the more alien approach to Elves that this change creates. In fact, I will simply assume that all non-Drow Elves have this blessing and it's up to the individual players to decide if they want to do something with it in terms of...
