i have enjoyed rpgs for 30years
my first was traveller (i still play marc miller's 4thedn), then c&s (great for making alternative mediaeval kingdoms), runequest
then pendragon, aces & eights, gurps
now i like savage worlds and tend to savage other settings to fit this rule system. the rules ars only there to help the game flow- any setting can be adapted
except pendragon which has such a great atmosphere with traits that i play that as written
into cyberpunk
just getting into farscape
