A lot of his stuff looks like they are posing for the painter, in this case, after an incident or a campsite while resting. There are some action shots as well, like a dragon breathing on combatants. Maybe his next phase will be the "Bloody" phase, who knows?! :) :)
Cool picture but where is the blood? Not on monster, not on Melf, not on sword, not on either's clothing, not on ground or in the water? So does Melf have some sort of Clean Blood Residue spell?!?! :) :)
Yea, the exploration maps still look to cartoonish. I wish they would start making them look realistic for better immersion. Also, the buildings in the common folk populated part of the keep are all flat tops with crenelation, to provide defense from above, aside of the church. That's why you...
Yea, or it could be on the inside of the book, unless they plan to shrinkwrap them. Or it could even just be the numberical code along and edge of the back cover. All clerks know to type it in, if they don't see the bars or it doesn't scan.
The cover artworks reminds me of something your great grandmother would buy at her favorite boutique. It's like they belong on greeting cards with sappy sayings inside, even. Not on something that is a procedural dungeon crawl with role-play elements during encounters and a lot of unexpected...
So far the artwork of the Mind Flayer is the only decent one, though for a monster book there should be more than one on the cover! The rest of all the different regular and alternate covers are so darn lame. Wishing artist that are like Caldwell and Elmore, were doing the covers!
A game that is called, "Dungeons & Dragons", and there is no Dragon on the front cover of a monster manual at all? Lame, just really lame and sad. Sigh.
I will be reading both, "VAMPIRE, Pa", Books after this Kickstarter ends!

To get both the first and current books there is a $60 pledge level and you get the KS exclusive cover art on both!
They need to put out a PDF Version eventually! So we can print out the maps and artwork and work with the text descriptions for Roll20 or at the tabletop as handouts.
It would also be nice if Goodman Games could put out a Virtual Table Top pack of the artwork and maps along with realistic maps...
