    Vanadan steps away from the runes calmly and hides his hands in the sleeves of his black robe. The elf nods to Marl's suggestion and turns to observe the lava pool and the undead more closely while trying to find a suitable position for him to be if something goes wrong.

    "Let's get this over with then," the elf replies. He takes a piece of cured leather from his sleeve and starts to cast a spell. [ooc: cast mage armor on self]

    Vanadan continues to move forward ignoring the bodies of the miners keeping his crossbow raised.

    "Maybe we should check the source of that voice and see whats happening here," Vanadan says softly. "There must be some reason why they are digging up despite the risks." ...In other words there must be something worth the risk, he thinks.

    OOC: Maybe I should've added "IF he can get a clear shot" :D . With the penalties, it's unlikely that Vanadan will hit the creature. In case somebody falls down (Jagos or Grog) he will get a better shot with lesser penalties, no? Then he will have his shot. I'm still thinking do I get the same...
