    DRAGON+ Now Available For Ratings

While I can't say for certain, I doubt that question is accurate. People who dislike something are far more likely to speak up than those who like that same thing, so it seems like the majority dislike it when it's just a case of the vocal minority. I could be wrong though... :)

D&D 5E Crystal Ball: A year in, how do you think 5E will unfold going forward?

I'm not saying I disagree, but how do you get players without sales? AL is not a good judge as a lot of people that play D&D do not play that way, so other than being able to say, "We've sold X million PHB," I'm not sure where the numbers will come from. Of course they may have data on how...

D&D 5E Crystal Ball: A year in, how do you think 5E will unfold going forward?

I don't think that's necessarily true. I think WotC is counting on sales being carried by attracting more people to the hobby through licenced products. If people can have fun playing a D&D video game or reading a D&D novel or watching a D&D movie then they may try out the RPG. More splat...

D&D 5E Does progression rate slow down?

If anyone is interested in a simulation, try playing HarnMaster. If the fight doesn't kill you the infection of your wounds probably will. It is by far my favourite unplayable game I've encountered.

D&D 5E How often do you fake it as a DM?

I think this is a large part of what DMing, or at least old school DMing, is all about, especially if you have a group that looks at a map you've drawn and always say, "Let's go there!" and point to somewhere off the map...

The 'Wonderland'-Inspired Faces of the RAGE OF DEMONS

How does everyone here feel about the ultimate evil presented in the Cthulhu mythos? Is an evil with alien motivations still interesting?

[UPDATED] Dragon+: An Official D&D iOS App

There's supposed to be an in depth look at video games past and present, more info on Sword Coast Legends, Ed Greenwood talking about his new novel, a short story, AL info and reader feedback, but all content subject to change. As has been said before it is at least worth every penny it costs...

WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

I think it may just be something about the nature of these discussion boards, the weird anonymity they provide, that make some (okay, a lot) of people oddly argumentative over things that really matter very little. Whether 4e was a success or failure is largely up for debate because there are...

WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

Well, I did ask if I was misunderstanding how the word "failure" was being used. On the other hand, D&D was the #1 RPG for, well, forever, until Pathfinder began outselling 4e. One could argue that in that respect, 4e was a failure. The thing is I like 4e, but it didn't really work out too...

WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

Wouldn't Pathfinder outselling D&D 4e be a pretty strong indication that 4e was a failure? Or do I not understand how the word "failure" is being used?

D&D 5E I believe a slow and light product release can cause more harm in the long run.

Looks like I'm also the sort of consumer WotC is after with this edition. I own every editions set of three core books, which is really all you [i]need/i] to play. For 1e I did buy Unearthed Arcana, Fiend Folio, Monster Manual II and Dieties and Demigods, but that back when I was in my early...

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Guess you've never played poker then... Sorry, couldn't help myself.

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Absolutely nothing, and I apologize if I came across as trying to tell you how to run your game. I have no right nor desire to change the way you play and I'm glad 4e works so well for your style of play. I actually appreciate your methods and think they are as valid as any others presented...

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

Why is the concept of words having more than one meaning, especially when looked at in context, so difficult for you to get? The DM fudging the dice is not cheating. The DM fudging the dice is also not covering them with a rich soft candy. The DM fudging the dice is also not acting in an...

    D&D 5E Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

I understand the overt/covert distinction that is being presented, unfortunately it is illusory. Changing a monster's hit points, fudging a die roll, adding more monsters to fight, having some run away, they are all the same thing, but that sameness is being lost in the all too common practice...
