    Favorite custom gods

I have a few gods who have been weakened, mostly due to the lack of followers however. Causing genocide without thought for your followers generally gets your follower's disdain, even if the other god started it. Some regions are an exception, one in particular has absolutely redoubled their...

    Favorite custom gods

Crossing gods is fine. Overlapping portfolios is dandy. I'm a fan of the forgotten realms approach of deities that are flawed, detailed and distinctly mortal in many ways, though in my games they are usually focused more on each other than on the mortals. I've already looked over other...

    Favorite custom gods

I should probably expand a bit on what I'm looking for. My game world is a world where about 700 years ago there was a huge war between the gods. Dozens of pantheons, hundreds of gods, more than a century of fighting, mostly on the material plane, resulted in most of the civilized world being...

    Favorite custom gods

I'm setting up a pantheon for a custom game world that is fantasy with a touch of steampunk. I'm trying to build a custom pantheon, already have the basics covered, but I'm looking for specific ones, the more unique ones. What are your favorite strange or custom gods and goddesses in your games...

Pathfinder 1E How do you make your game world more immersive?

I've been thinking of new ways to immerse my players into my game. I already use random non-combat encounters, city events, things like black markets where magic items and goods are at a decreased price, but come with a random chance of defects. What methods do you guys use?

    Unique Magic Item Properties/Quirks

Yeah, that's what I was trying to go for is variety. Though I will say I intended this more for cool utility items than anything else. Try and make it useful for them! Pull out some rules on the spot that work well. For example, the weightless weapons, now that they are weightless, I bet they...

    Unique Magic Item Properties/Quirks

Thankfully, I'm not generating every magical item through this method, it's just a way of enchanting the player's items on a case by case basis. At the moment the idea is it's an enchanted stone which is basically being used as a reward by one of their contacts instead of just normal gold. This...

    Unique Magic Item Properties/Quirks

The way it was played back when my first GM did it (back in AD&D) was basically as a repeat reward. We visited the stone a few times. One person ended up with a flaming fork (we ruled that as long as he was eating with this fork, he could nom on raw meat and it would be cooked), a cleric got a...

    Unique Magic Item Properties/Quirks

Some great ideas. I'm hoping to get to a list of at least 20 unique effects.

    Unique Magic Item Properties/Quirks

It's intended to be useful to some degree and in some way, though not per say in combat, etc. The idea of the stone is you can enchant anything pressed against it. A fork, a belt, a length of rope, whatever. So weapon-specific or combat specific enchants are kinda a no-go regardless.

    Unique Magic Item Properties/Quirks

When I first started playing D&D my GM has a glowing pillar that enchanted any item touched to it with a random property, be it a weapon, bit of clothing, or just a fork. However the item was only magical for the person it was soulbound to. In my own campaign I'm wanting to revive the random...

    D&D 4E Looking for a good 4e starter adventure

My group is going to be trying 4e for the first time in a few days and it will be my first time GMing the game. Nobody else in the group has any real experience with the game so I am looking for a good adventure that starts at level 1. Fitting into the forgotten realms setting would be a major...

    D&D 4E 4e virgin looking for answers

So the new classes in Forgotten Kingdoms/Fallen Lands are basically the lower entry level brothers of the classes in the PHB. I'm guessing that a warpriest for example is considered a cleric for the purposes of feats, etc. But it's not any more powerful or weak by any notable degree?

    D&D 4E 4e virgin looking for answers

Another question here. I've been going through the books off and on for the last few days trying to get it all down. Now, I just stumbled onto the essentials line, did some googling on it and apparently it's a kinda-sorta .5 edition. I'm looking through it, trying to figure out what it changes...
