I'll agree with that. I ended up giving the PC a experience point penalty instead of the buy back. The larger the LA, the larger the penalty. It's working fine so far.

None so far. It's very different to 3.5 psionics. It's feat and skill based and I think the designers purposely built it not to be a third form of magic (arcane and divine being the other two). We're treating it as a very recent next step in human evolution.

Yes, there is some fun stuff in AEG's Mercenaries. I have a couple of NPCs in my campaign who used prestige classes from that and one barbarian PC converted from 1E with one of the prestige classes. I use the Psychic's Handbook as a replacement for psionics in my recently started T20/D20...

Probably some space limitation. It's pretty easy to do without the book though. Just map out what the character would look like at 2nd level then split up what the character gets at 1st and 2nd level.

Agreed on toughness. I HR'd that to the 1ePF version, 3 hp then 1 each level, levels 4 and up. 3.x toughness is really only good during a one-shot adventure, IIRC.

BTW, does anybody know if they sell a red dragon that is based on the red box (Mentzer) red dragon? I know of the red dragon that is based on the art of the Holmes basic rules.
