1> If slavery is legal can the party capture some of the slavers and sell them into
slavery? Perhaps into another community?
2> Are some of the slaves "deserving" of punishment? Perhaps they themselves were
criminals.
I have a ranger in my campaign where spell use just didn't feel right.
So I came up with an alternative that others might like.
I gave him something like the Brew Potion feat.
"By using his skill as a woodsman the Ranger
can create potions or pastes or salves to create the same effect
as...
Yes, that's what I say. "It's like playing pretend."
Or I just say it's a complicated wargame.
And I only came to the conclusion that
I was just "playing pretend" recently.
I'd often wondered just what the difference
was. Is it a wargame? Is it "Co-operative story telling"?
No, the best...

I just had to vote for Put to the Sword.
For a mini encounter this was the simplest and most easily
inserted. But while being simple there were so many
possibilities that you could do.
I also like the Imp in Set's Clothing.
And it almost got my vote. The idea of having a...
my campaign logs
You know, some times a player might really WANT to play
a character who doesn't really want to "adventure".
Who wouldn't want to play Bilbo Baggins?
One of my favorite characters to DM was "Bodda".
Not long into the campaign the player decided that
his character really just...
I liked a lot of these. I think I could use most of them in the
right campaign.
The Goblin's Lair : Good simple adventure. A great hook for
a low level campaign. Easy to throw in at any time.
Dangerous Honey (.zip file) : I encourage all of you to unzip this
one. It really follows the rules...
pay pal?
Interesting.
I didn't vote. I'd be willing to pay 2 or 3 bucks right now for
what I get. 5 or 6 or 7 to stop the message board limit
from blocking me out. But I don't really want any new features.
But the real problem is HOW do I pay you?
I'm too lazy to mail a check. (And do you want...
I really liked 3 of them:
The Blood Soaked Seal:
This was really a cool story and NPC. Really an epic event.
Freeing someone long imprisoned by the gods is a staple of
a lot of good books. I liked the imagery of his blood seeping into
the grooves of the seal.
To Defy the Setting Sun...
None of these struck me as great. I liked pieces of several:
Sharick, the Exiled Lunatic:
Always speaking with S's was clever. But I wanted to know
why and how to help. Or at least what sharick was thinking.
The Barking Frog Inn:
Fun, but It seemed cliched.

I'm pausing before I whack :-)
I haven't gone back yet again to look. So I don't know what was
on the location page. But I remember several points about the
location. First the boat jam itself was a novel idea. I *think* the
author had text on why the jam ocurred. But there was
information...

Imp in Sets Clothing (EL 6)
Unfortunately, the location has NO meaning apart from the encounter. It’s written right on the map the location of the PC’s and this particular NPC and other items in the location and encounter...
Many, many really good ones this time.
Fooled and Fooled Again
This got my vote. It took me a while to make up my mind.
There wasn't a location, but I really liked how simple the
idea was. This could be picked up and done at any time on
a moments notice.
Blood of Angels I liked the new...
Bump and comments
This one was hard. There was no clear winner.
I voted for Culinary delights,
but I'm not certain that was my favorite. I just voted
for number two because I wanted a race.
(I vote Libertarian, I guess I just don't like voting
for the guy that wins :-)
I liked Valkyries. But...
I voted for Crocodile Tears.
But it was a hard choice. Almost all of them were interesting
and several were really good.
1,2,3 or 4 could have gotten my vote. It depended on my mood.
I wish the heats had been smaller. It might make voting
easier.

Why
I never got the chance to vote. I didn't have an account.
I've read them all. Unfortunately I didn't have the time
to make my own entry.
But the first time I voted for "Put to the sword".
The last poster, Mistwell, said my thoughts better than I could.
I liked it because it was small and...
