That's the intention! This isn't our day-job and we're working on it for free, so it's going to take time regardless. I mean, have you SEEN the CR? Over 470 pages of rules ain't gonna get covered in a day. :) Consider supporting this project (and others) by contributing to our Patreon campaign...
As the title says, I'm working on a new tutorial series with Saving Throw similar to what we did last season for Pathfinder. I'd be interested to know what concepts from the core rulebook you have difficulty with. Or is there something you'd love to teach newbies but always have a hard time...
Saving Throw will be there!
If you see a lone Dom Zook from the Saving Throw show on the floor or hosting a panel (there's two!) give him a high-five. There's a button in it if you do. He might be tough to spot amidst all the other average height, bearded white guys out there, but he'll be...
Hey everyone! I'm coordinating an event with my group Saving Throw. We're going to be playing RPGs LIVE(!!) for 24-hours to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. Starting this Saturday, June 20 at midnight PST (so 7am UTC, I believe) to midnight the morning of June 21. Details here...
Awesome list. And super excited you listed the House Rules article from our Saving Throw blog! Thanks!!
Now to grab a copy of Maven Manor for a future game!
I like getting my bards into combat. I feel like too many bards go the "dainty" route and flit about the sidelines. It's a legit choice, for sure, but not my style. I do like the thespian comparison, makes me think of a Mission: Impossible character or something.
I also like the concept of a...
Hello everyone! Hope this is the right place to put this. It's a Press Release of sorts! The Saving Throw team and I have been working hard for over a year to bring you this show. After a successful Kickstarter campaign back in March, we are finally able to release episode one of the first...
I love this idea! Instead of a quiver full of arrows they carry paintbrushes and styluses (stylii?). Great concept. I wonder, would the player then draw (however well they could) during the game to demonstrate what their bard is doing? That sounds like it could be a good time.
Nevermind, found it! Right at the top too! Full posts listed here from now on! Ha! I wanted the conversation HERE, not on my own site. But duly noted. Thanks! :)
Thanks, DMMike. Could you point me to the ToS? I wasn't aware I was violating anything for this forum but obviously wanna fix it for any future posts! Sorry for any confusion!
I think you're right: bards are almost custom built for some sort of leadership role. They often fill that slot (often...
Hey all! We've got a new article over at the Saving Throw site. Author Felix Danger gives some advice to anyone struggling with building an accessible and fun bard. It can often be intimidating taking on a character who is, at times, far more role than play. But oftentimes these awesomely adept...
We've got a new article up on Saving Throw about creating compelling and memorable villains for your campaigns. Would love any feedback! Thanks!
Creating Villains - The Ones You Love to Hate
In my games I've always had dwarves treat half-elves with a kind of guarded curiosity. They're human enough to warrant some respect but elven enough to be disdainful. Half-elves always tread lightly around dwarves. Overall the dwarves I feel are on the cusp of hating everyone, regardless of...
