Status of White Wolf lawsuit against Underworld?

Law suit Well, I guess perhaps we'll never know what became of this. But when I heard today that a company was being sued over the Jennifer Lopez movie Enough, and another was being sued over Steve Martin's Bringing Down the House, I remembered that I never heard how the whole Underworld...

Status of White Wolf lawsuit against Underworld?

I remember reading that White Wolf was suing the producers of Underworld for copyright issues. What became of this? Have they settled out of court?

Pathfinder 1E Paizo hires new editor, but where's Dave?

I don't know if I have the proper forum for this query, but I noticed good ol' Paizo is hiring a new editor-n-chief for Amazing Stories. I thought Dave Gross had that job. In fact, I'm sure he did. What happened?

Is poetry/lit Craft? No. Perform? No. What?

I can't find a reference to poetry/literature/prose under Craft or Perform. The former involves creating a physical object and the latter involves physical movement. Would it be Knowledge? No. Because knowing about poetry is much different than writing it. So . . . Profession (Poet)? If...

Don't buy bullets from Monte Cook

Bullets No, they're not. There's no charge inside them. As was duly pointed out earlier, they don't explode, merely flatten. But like I said, never mind. I just thought it was an odd metaphor (and poetry, by the way, it ain't). Please forgive my iconoclastic tendencies. I should have...

Don't buy bullets from Monte Cook

Oh, yes, and I'm sure that's what Mr. Cook was talking about. :) Besides, a High Explosive Anti-Tank round (M830) is not a hollowpoint. The cavities in the shell are filled with propellant and explosive. Never mind. I just thought it was funny.

Don't buy bullets from Monte Cook

I love the second Tome of Horrors book. Incredible. Go buy it. Just ignore Mr. Cook's reference to ammunition. The blurb says, "If a role playing game is a gun, then a monster book is the ammunition. If that's the case, then Tome of Horrors is a case of hollow point, explosive shells!"...

1 Milllion Undead (in a small space)

Lich Ah, I like it! Very devious. In the Bonegarden, the lich's phylactery is apparently the entire cemetery, which is one mile in diameter. God knows how THAT can be destroyed. At any rate, I like the innocent-person-as-phylactery idea.

1 Milllion Undead (in a small space)

Lich's phylactery So . . . this Bonegarden joint gets me to thinking (and there are lots of undead in here to think about; more than I've ever seen in one place, actually, outside of Ravenloft), could a lich have a living being as its phylactery? What do you think? How would it work? Hmmm...

1 Milllion Undead (in a small space)

Spoilers . . . I have a question about a lich. A few days ago I picked up The Bonegarden from my FLGS and am still busy reading and reading about all these nightmares locked into a single forcefield-contained cemetery. And then there's this thing I think may be a Spelljamming ship . . . Has...

    The Bonegarden

Just wanted to say I've got my hands on The Bonegarden. And if you don't, you're missing doom, doom, and more doom. This puppy is a must-have.

    World's Largest Dungeon?

Does anyone else think this is a silly idea? Why not just go play Diablo?

    Another Polyhedron question

At the risk of beginning another salvo of possibly deserved shots at Paizo, I have a question concerning Polyhedron. Why do they even call it Polyhedron? Why not just include that material (mini-game, RPG news, et cetera) in the back of Dungeon and call it good? What benefit comes of calling...

(Mongoose) Book of the Sea - Out Now!

Book of the Sea Just cross-referenced Matt's synopsis with the material said to appear in Necromancer Games' Dead Man's Chest. Glad to see that there's apparently no overlap. The type of stuff that appears in Book of the Sea isn't what's going to be covered in Dead Man's Chest . . . which...
