Need a Player (or 2) for Friday Nights (Bay City, MI)

We're looking for a player (or 2) for a weekly Friday Night game. We play in Bay City, MI. 3.5 Rules. Playing in Forgotten Realms. Older Players (two 39-year-olds and a 35-year-old are the core players). Game starts about 5-6pm every week, and ends about 11pm-midnight. Email me for more...

    Need Players in Mid-Michigan

Our group plays every Friday (6pm - 12) in Bay City, MI. We are just starting the Age of Worms campaign. Because of job issues, we've lost a couple players and now need more players. Most of the group has been playing together since High School (and that was almost 20 years ago).

    When PCs become villains.

Mine was a character named Nacht. Nacht protrayed himself as a jovial wizard. His long black hair and beard were always flowing over his white and pale blue robes. He was fond of puns, "WWF = World Wizard Ferderation", "If you can smell-ll-lla what the Nacht, is casting." He made magic items for...

What Movie Has Inspired the Most PC's in Your Game?

Mine was not so much a movie, but a comic. I had a character based on the comic book character, Punisher. Bestrafer (loosely, Punisher in German), was an expert Archer. He was a devout worshiper of the god Hoar, the god of Revenge. His family, and entire village, were killed by drow (a...

    Basil is Handsome

I'm reading the trilogy, the Twilight Gaints by Troy Denning. One of the main supporting characters is a Verbeeg Giant Rune-Caster. I know that are stats on Verbeeg Giants in 2.0 D&D. Does anyone know if, and where, they have been updated to 3.5 (or even 3.0) D&D?

How many arrows does your PC carry? And who keeps count?

Actually, arrows can become an issue at higher levels. A standard quiver hold 20 arrows. A 16th level archer with Rapid Shot and a Speed Bow is shooting 6 arrows a round. So every 4th round he's either refilling a quiver or pulling another full one from his Bag of Holding.

How do you map? (DMing advice needed)

In both my groups, we use the Wet Erase Battlemats and occasionally projection sheets (wet erase works on them too). The DM is the one who draws the map of the area - it's up to the players if they want to make a map from that (after all - the rooms might have to be wiped away later).

    Non-Munchkin Epic

Epic campaigns are very hard if you want to stay away from Munchkins. If you play a heavy combat style - most of the monsters you face will have a lot of instant kill powers. What is harder, that most munchkins have their AC so high that even a Pit Fiend needs a 20 to hit them. Their saves...

    Shield of Absorbtion

Old character died - So new one is being created. I told him to create a new one. He shot me an email of the basics of his new character. Sent him an email back to explain the Shield. Still waiting for a response. Was wondering where the heck he got it from.

    Shield of Absorbtion

My player says it works as a sphere of annihilation once every week.

    Shield of Absorbtion

I have a player who claims to have a Shield of Abosorbtion. I have yet to hear back from him as to where he got it from. Anyone know where he might have gotten it?

    I've Been Drinkin'

We're starting a new campaign, and I'm playing a Drunkard Fighter. I know where the rules for drinking were in 1.0/2.0E. Does anyone know the Drunk/Intoxication rules in 3.5E? I got a nit-picky DM, so I need the book it comes from.

    EL of a Shade

Last game session, I had a player's near-epic-level character "cursed" by becoming a Shade (Forgotten Realms). Anyone know the EL of a Shade? The FRCS only lists that it has a +2 to CR, but does not say anything about an EL. I guessed and said it was an EL +1. I was hoping to have a book to...

    Stats for a Butterfly?

The latest Dragon Magazine has an article about having a Swarm as a Familiar (requiring the Improved Familiar feat). It does warn the DM's that allow this, however, of the problems allowing a Swarm as a Familiar.

    Druids and their Animals

I just wanted to verify that I'm reading the rules correctly. A Druid can command his Animal Companion as a Free Action, and lets assume that it's a higher level Druid, so his Handle Animal is so high, that unless he's trying to "push" the Animal, he doesn't even have to roll to make him attack...
