Pretty much what Saracenus says here: future support would be via the Living Greyhawk Journal and various Living Greyhawk adventures, but not any sourcebooks.
Sorry to necro-reply to this comment, but…
I don't think "3e rules were still under development" accurately describes the situation of design on the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer.
The 3E core books were almost done—my Living Greyhawk Gazetteer turnover file has a "file created" date of January 24...
Long ago, I got Jim Ward to write down his April 4th story (the story he'd tell to the designers and editors on the anniversary of being let go from TSR on April 4, 1984) so that I could post it on my blog. Finally posted it today. Jim Ward’s Story: April 4, a Day That Will Live In Infamy
The normal timeline for MCG releases is:
1) Kickstarter backers (and there's usually a print + PDF backer level)
2) Preorder customers (sometimes there's a PDF option, and in the case of Ptolus there is one)
3) Book released for sale to the public on the MCG Shop and DriveThruRPG.
The time...
It's a weird quirk of how the game has changed a bit since 3e.
In the 3e PH, there weren't hill dwarves and mountain dwarves, there were just dwarves (I don't think the other dwarf types were in the SRD, so third-party publishers couldn't use them). And likewise there weren't wood elves and...
We pulled the layout text from the 3e version of the book, stripped it down to plain text, re-styled all of it, made all of the running text system-neutral, moved rules-specific stuff to the callouts (the margin notes), had the text edited again, and then it was all laid out from scratch. You...
My previous group went into the House on two or three different occasions. My current group has gone into it twice and PC doesn't want to go back (it literally killed and consumed his former love in front of him as "payment" for something). Each time we've gone in, maybe the entry room was the...
They are if you want them to be. :D (It wouldn't be the first time someone put a character/characters in their Numenera game who was from a prior era, such as from a time travel or hibernation-device error…)
Thanks. :)
Fair. I actually left it out of the 60-second summary because I really did mean this to be a 60-second summary—I recorded that text as a video (with screenshots of parts of a character sheet) back in 2017 with the idea of posting it to YouTube as a reference. As written, I have to...
I understand. The way the paths for stretch goals in the Ptolus campaign was definitely a new way of trying things—an experiment—and there are some kinks to be worked out.
I've investigated a bit and it sounds like you were playing part of a short adventure called Trailblazer Trials, and in that there are some fights against creatures with Armor 2 or Armor 3 (which is still significant, even though it isn't Armor 5). One solo creature is "the monstrosity," there's...
Fortunately, I wrote this up (intending to make it a video, but never got around to it):
The Numenera Game System… In 60 Seconds
In Numenera there are three character types: Glaive, the warrior. Nano, the sorcerer. Jack, a mix of both.
You have three stat Pools: Might, Speed, and Intellect...
Retreater, I'd really like to figure out what adventure they were running for you, because if you were playing a tier 1 character, I'd be very surprised if the adventure had a creature with Armor 5 (considering that plate mail is Armor 3). And if it's an official MCG adventure, and that Armor 5...
