I raised this issue with Mike Mearls last year. Had a player that enjoyed playing a Swordmage/Tactical Warlord and I wanted to give him something similar in 5E.

@MikeMearls hey Mike is it possible to take multiple sub-classes in 5e. Eg Fighter(Eldritch...
Mainly because in 4e you had powers that changed what their primary stat was. So rather than be MAD(Multi Attribute Dependant) you could max out your primary stat (in this case Charisma) to get the most benefit out those powers. Due to not having bounded accuracy , you were always chasing...
It all comes down to how fast the party moves, what they choose to investigate... whether you add in additional content.
But from all accounts, Wizards have stated in a number of interviews that 4-6 sessions of 3-4hrs length would see the adventure completed. if you're group is experienced and...
Personally the house rule I'll be using with dice rolling is the following.
If the total of your final set of 6 numbers is under 72 you may re-roll*
and/or
If you have more than 1 stat under 10 you may re-roll*
*When you re-roll you must re-roll the entire set you cannot "save" individual...
Yes Mike Mearls has already stated that there will be no "pretty-ing" up of the Basic PDF till the end of the year when it contains all the relevant information after all the Core books have been released.
It's such a shame Hillside(near Caroline Springs) is so far from Ballarat. Currently looking for a group to do 5E, as only half of my current gaming group seem keen to try it.
Really depends on the players and their experience levels. To me handing a brand new player a wizard just worries me a little, but could also be a non-event.
It may also depend on whether you're using battle maps/minis or not. If you are , then I would try and avoid having an abundance of...
There is an Avenger class... it's called making a Paladin and choosing the Oath of Vengeance. You'lll need the PHB though , not Starter/Basic.
But if you need your character sheet to say Avenger, then yeah can't do that in 5e
Well that standard array does equal 72 which is what I've always been advised as the average score. Anything over that is a bonus, anything under is subpar.
I'm happy with the above if that's the final decision. Really makes you wonder though what they have done with Half Orcs whether they...
Yeah saw that, but that image has me wondering if that is the Character sheet or whether it is a Pre-gen variation. A more beginner friendly sheet that has number explanations on the sheet much like the pre-gens in the Pathfinder Beginner Box.
Well in the anticipation of waiting for 5e, I've been pondering what form the 5E character sheet would take.
Would it just be the one from the playtest with a few tweaks or will it be something else entirely.
Decided to ask the man himself.

Ahh looks like I'd removed the Starter set at some point from my Amazon cart. Possibly because I was going to get the Starter local, and then wait for the rest from Amazon.
So yes Hitcher 192.64US is correct... so $211AU, so would only be saving $9 by going with Amazon and a trip out to...
Just tried the experiment for ordering the complete collection (5 items)
With fewest shipments (3) - Total was $175US(I think Amazon only displays US currency) - so $190AU
With fatest times - Total was $194.5 - so $215AU
Or supportling FLGS - $220AU but I get everything day of release. -
Olaf...
