Its not the worst, but I irrationally dislike the Essence20 System. It makes me angry that we finally got an RPG for one of my favorite things (G.I. Joe) and I found it terrible. Oh well.

Do you feel the "A, B, C" is necessary over just simply saying d6, d8 (like Savage Worlds)? Felt very GDW, but not essential.

This was so exactly me too. I wasn't allowed to get into D&D because of the Satanic Panic. Magic made my mom too nervous. But dad liked James Bond, so spies were fine!

For what its worth, I delved into the Element Class Cruiser box set and its amazing. I'm reading the Naval Adventures that go along with it. Its a different take on Traveller, thats for sure. Much like Star Trek.

I think Mongoose 2e has been the best Traveller ever. Why review the core book now, though? Its been out for a while.

Where can we find the Hot Games chart these days?
