I'm a game designer and author of short stories, novels and screenplays. My work is most closely associated with White Wolf Publishing, a company I founded in 1986 to publish a magazine dedicated to pen and paper roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons. My work at White Wolf is highlighted by the co-creation of the World of Darkness, a fictional world developed in roleplaying games I co-created, such as Vampire: The Masquerade and Mage: The Ascension. I owned White Wolf for 20 years and operated it under the conviction that games can be art.
After White Wolf merged with CCP Games in 2006, I remained involved in the new company, but after three years the entrepreneurial itch got the better of me. So I founded Nocturnal Media to be the home of my future projects. I remain dedicated to my roots in paper roleplaying as publisher of the classic roleplaying game King Arthur Pendragon available at DriveThruRPG.com.
