Imagine there is an ability that prevents the use of a standard action. That would make this attack ideal over the other.

I would've allowed the girl to make an athletics check to grab the wall as she was falling, or you could of allowed a member below to cushion the fall with an athletics check.

I scanned the dungeon maps from the back of my dungeon books and made a battlemaps from them. I use pennies with tape and letters on the tape as markers, and personally keep track of all the status effects for the enemies and pcs.

I know you think that 4E is broken because of no compensation for bad rolls, but that's only because you're still at a low level. Bad rolls (except 1's, because that's just unlucky) become compensated for half damage. Don't worry about it, and 1's are a part of life.

How it works is basically you use a free action to start an extra action during your turn. It wouldn't work on anyone else's turn.
