Main experience I had playing dnd so far is about an hour session of 3.5 which ended due to the DM quitting because we didn't move along fast enough for them. Though that was quite a while ago. I have read a decent amount of literature on dnd since then trying to figure out different builds that might be suitable for me. Since my interests tend to lead to homebrew territory I have been a little shy about the thought of asking to get into a game. outside of dnd I like PS1 style turn based rpgs and point and click games like the telltale games before they added timed response and qte mechanics.
